Buransh Heli Resort

The rooms felt overpriced and were very moist and smelly. The place is isolated, right on the outskirts of the village, and the details listed online didn’t seem true to what we found. We went because of the hype around the helipad next door and expected something plush. Staff had a very rude attitude, and nobody bothered to answer the phone when we tried to book. I wouldn’t recommend it for a family.

We arrived at 7 PM with four adults and two kids, aged two and three, for a destination wedding. Our host had booked the whole resort for three nights, but Managers Ravi & Ekta refused to give us rooms, even temporarily, saying they’d only hand them over once the host arrived. It was freezing, and the kids suffered. Their handling was insensitive and unprofessional, with zero family- or kid-friendly hospitality. Avoid this resort if basic hospitality matters to you.

The main plus is the helipad inside the resort, which makes it a convenient option for people taking an IRCTC-booked helicopter to Kedarnath. The rooms were satisfactory, though not very clean, and the bed linens had been reused. Staff were polite before check-in, then became rude and unhelpful. Food was overpriced and only reasonably OK.

The location is prime, and the staff were positive and service was nice. But the bathrooms were terrible, with leaks and water all over the floor. The food was dry and tasteless, not what I expected.
