Inde Hotel Cyber City

I booked a room at Inde Hotel, Cyber City, Gurugram (Phase 2) with breakfast and dinner included. It’s marketed as a 4-star property, but my stay fell well short of basic hospitality standards. My flight was delayed, so at 9:15 PM I told reception I might be a few minutes late and asked them to arrange dinner. The delay wasn’t in my control, but the reply was simply, “We can’t do anything.” At first the receptionist couldn’t find my valid booking for that date. I offered to send the voucher right away and asked if dinner could be kept ready for around 10 PM, but they refused. I politely asked several times to speak to the manager, and the receptionist kept declining, saying he had no authority. I arrived at 10:01 PM, just a minute late. Even after I showed the voucher, the restaurant refused dinner. I was traveling with children after a long flight, and there was no empathy or flexibility. I offered to pay separately, but that was refused too. They said all services, including housekeeping, shut down after 10 PM. With no other option, I ordered food online and went to bed very dissatisfied. Breakfast the next morning was also poor. Eggs, fruit, bread, and butter weren’t available, the coffee was cold and unattended, and staff blamed the missing items on the rain. Later I asked reception for Wi-Fi because my mobile signal was weak, only to be told the Wi-Fi wasn’t working either. The hotel lacks service management, staff authority, accountability, and consideration for guests. A 4-star rating carries responsibilities this property doesn’t seem to meet. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially for families or anyone arriving late because of circumstances beyond their control.

My stay was awful from start to finish. The room had visible stains, and the washroom smelled terrible the whole time. Staff were rude and unprofessional, and didn’t seem to know how to find my booking or use the computer properly. I had booked a MAP plan, but dinner wasn’t provided, and no clear explanation or solution was offered. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, kitchen service was unavailable, and even basic things like slippers were missing. The hotel phone number doesn’t work, and they don’t answer calls, which says a lot about how poorly it’s managed. I raised the problems with MMT several times too, but they didn’t help. I won’t book through them again.

The online photos gave a misleading picture of the property. In reality, the rooms were dirty and poorly maintained, and the old mattresses made it hard to rest comfortably. Staff were unhelpful and unprofessional, and the food was below even basic standards. I had a bad experience and didn’t feel I got value for my money. I’d tell others to avoid it and look elsewhere.

You can walk to Cyberhub from this hotel, and the location is excellent. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. It’s not fancy, though, and the breakfast was often served at room temperature, which was my main complaint. Still, I had a good stay.
