OYO 14875 The Imperial Residency

The hotel’s name doesn’t match what OYO displays. The correct name is sree ji gust house. The hotel person first denied that I had a booking, then spoke to someone else and asked for an extra 122/- to give me a room. Please check this property and its name carefully.

I stayed five days, and they didn’t clean the room or toilet once, or change the bedsheet. The AC worked like a heater, the fridge freezer was the only part that worked, and pigeons were sitting on top of the AC. A street dog got into the hotel and really scared me. Even the geyser seemed best at making cold water. I’ve never stayed in a worse hotel.

There are plenty of street food stalls and small restaurants nearby, and hot water is available for showers. The rooms are decent, but bring your own towels and toilet paper. The manager, Mr Sanjeev Chopra, was caring and helpful, spoke very good English, and would go out of his way to assist.

I’ve stayed in more than 100 hotels and never met a manager this rude. I think he’s a psycho freak and has no idea how to treat guests. I booked four nights through OYO and arrived at 7 am, but he said there wouldn’t be a room until noon. At 9 am, three families checked out while I was there, so I asked again for a room. He treated me terribly, then at 10 said he could give me one for an early check-in fee of Rs. 500. According to OYO’s policy, early check-in after 10 is complimentary on request, subject to availability. After negotiating, I paid him 300. I raised the issue with OYO. When an OYO exe. contacted the manager, he angrily rushed over and told me to leave immediately. I refused, so he cut the electricity. In the end, I decided to leave. This was the worst experience of my life. Anyone who wants to verify it can check the hotel entry register dated 28.08.2018 under the name govind sharma. OYO, your image is at stake. I’m sharing what happened because it has already happened to other people. Think before booking and go to another hotel.
