Govind Regency

After traveling from 4 PM, I got there around 9 PM with my two exhausted children, aged 9 and 5. I was left sitting at reception for 2.5 HOURS, tired, thirsty, and with no help or empathy. Staff mocked me while I was asking for a basic solution. I had to involve the police to get the situation resolved, and even though we never used the room, they still tried to keep the money. I’d booked a double occupancy room, but was given a cramped box that could barely fit two people, let alone a mother and two children. There wasn’t room for an extra bed, even though I was willing to pay. The online photos are misleading and don’t show what the rooms are actually like. When I asked to pay for an upgrade, they said the place was fully booked. I then asked to cancel and get a refund because the room didn’t meet basic needs, but they refused and blamed me. The whole experience felt humiliating and deeply unfair, with no professionalism or basic decency.

The bathroom was poorly cleaned and stained all over, and the water was muddy. The sheets were dirty too, and the room wasn’t worth what they charged. The facilities were terrible across the board. Please don’t book here, it could spoil the temple visit.

The temple is very close, which is handy. Everything else made for one of my worst stays. Cockroaches were all over the room, and I recorded a video of them. Since it was hot season, the room was unbearably warm and poorly ventilated. The linen was in such bad condition that I couldn’t bring myself to use it. I carry my own sheet, thankfully, and had to use it to sit or lie down. It was also hard to sleep because the hotel is beside a road with a sharp turn, and vehicles honked even at night. I wouldn’t recommend it unless location is your only concern and you’re willing to compromise a lot on hygiene and comfort.

Mr PrasannaKumar made the stay feel personal. He checked in with us from time to time to see how things were going, and all the other staff members provided good service too. I’d recommend Govind Regency without hesitation to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient place very close to the Temple.
