The one thing I’d change is the bed covers, which looked a bit old. Otherwise, I found Sabari Hotel comfortable and good value for money. Guruvayur Temple is within walking distance, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and staff were professional and helpful. Towels, soap, and complimentary tea and coffee sachets were provided, and there was adequate parking.

Breakfast wasn’t included, and when we ate there the prices felt too high for very ordinary food. I’d booked assuming this was a three-star-rated hotel; when I asked, they said they provided three-star facilities. Even so, our stay was pleasant.

We only visited the restaurant for lunch, not as hotel guests. The staff patiently talked us through the dishes, and the service was good. We’re from Tamil Nadu but enjoyed the authentic Kerala-style food. You could choose brown or white rice, and the taste was top notch. We went back for more of most of the dishes.

Gokulam is where we like to stay whenever we visit Guruvayoor, and it has never let us down. The food is consistently fresh and tasty, and the rooms are clean with excellent room service. Sabari is about a two-minute walk from the temple, while Gokulam Vananamala is also a short walk from the temple entrance.

The restaurant food was superb, especially the Gobi 65. Compliments to the chef, it was out of this world! Staff at Sree Gokulam Sabari were very accommodating, and getting to Guruvayur temple wasn’t an issue thanks to the walkway behind. We had a great stay and will definitely return. I’d recommend it to friends and family. 👍😄
