OYO 14472 Brahmaputra Guest House

This is listed on the Oyo app as Collection O 50255 Brahmaputra Guest House, and it's one of the dirtiest, worst hotels I've seen. You enter by crossing a filthy drainage channel with sewage water. The rooms, corridors, dining area, and general surroundings are unhygienic. Cigarette butts, discarded food, and rubbish are scattered in the corridors and staircases. The sheets and pillow covers smell used, many bathrooms are filthy, and the commodes and basins are stained. Most bathroom fittings don't work, and some AC remotes fail or make noises. We asked for all out, but they had no refill. Some rooms also have bed bugs. They don't have professional cleaners; they use daily wage child labourers who lack hygiene and make the rooms and bathrooms dirtier, handling the bedding with soiled hands. For the condition, this hotel shouldn't be worth more than 500k per day, yet they charge 2700. You'll definitely get sick if you stay here.

The bathroom and toiletries were okay but still need improvement. We booked a double bedroom, and it was a good fit for two, matching the posted photos. The staff were helpful and well behaved. Free wifi and breakfast were included as promised, and the TV, AC, and geyser all worked. The beds were clean enough. Overall, a good experience.

The bathroom could use some work, and finding the place is a little tricky because the sign is small, even though it's on the main road. Locals know the hotel well, though. The sheets and room were clean, the staff were really cooperative, and I had a nice stay. The entrance passage to the first-floor lobby is dark and leaks when it rains. Good for couples or families. I'd skip room service food. Darbar and Birayani centre are nearby, or Swiggy delivers quickly here. Happy stay 🤘✌️
