OYO 77896 Darshini Homes

The place isn’t worth the money. Although the online rate showed ₹600 per night, the owner tried to charge us ₹1100. He was very arrogant too.

The owner’s behavior with my family was the worst. While I was in the washroom, he came into my room and asked my wife when she got married and said she was still young. The next evening, he asked her to have coffee with him at night. His elder brother peed at our door. Both brothers were character less. When I was leaving, I saw a few girls being asked for service, and it seemed to work as a red light.

The property photos on the website are nothing like the actual place. My room stank, and it was so small there was hardly room to move. The walls and floor were filthy. At night, cats and mice wandered above the bamboo sheet roof. There was no Wi-Fi, no free breakfast as promised on the website, and no parking on the property. When I complained, the owner spoke rudely to everyone. This was my worst stay at OYO Darshini Homes. Websites should remove it so travelers to Guwhati, Assam don’t get scamed.

The rate was cheap, Rs.800 for two, but the rooms smelled awful and were far too dirty. They changed the bedsheet, yet underneath it was covered in hair and dirt. The pillows had never been washed, and the blankets were really cheap quality. Maybe I was in the wrong place, since it was my first time trying somewhere this cheap. Such a good location feels wasted on it.
