RJB Grand

We spent two nights at RJB grand. The rooms are spacious, with AC and hot water. We booked through MMT and got a 1400 Rs discount that wasn’t available offline. It’s on the outskirts, so things were hassle-free, and there’s a lift for elderly guests, good Wifi, and a small mart out front. There were problems too. The corridor was very noisy, and the doors slammed loudly. Early check-in costs 500 Rs, though you can bargain, and we found some reluctance. Toiletries were missing, and in a Delux room for two there was only one towel. The tea cups had kitchen cockroaches. Water bottles weren’t provided, even though MMT’s description said they were included, and we were asked to pay. We’d booked a week ahead, but all rooms were occupied when we arrived; we were lucky that two groups checked out in front of us, so a booking with full payment may still not guarantee a room. The restaurant food wasn’t good. The Paul's kitchen nearby has affordable food that’s very good and mild to low in spice. The body wash and hand wash smelled really bad, like Surf Excel, though that was a minor inconvenience for us.
