Hotel Golden Palace

I agreed to pay for early check-in, but getting an invoice for that payment turned into a frustrating ordeal. I called and followed up several times, yet hotel management never responded or sent the document. Charging for a service and then failing to provide proper paperwork feels extremely unprofessional and raises serious concerns about transparency and customer care. I wouldn't recommend Hotel Golden Palace to anyone seeking a trustworthy, hassle-free stay.

The location and affordable price are the main positives. But a welcome would make a big difference: from the security guard to room service and reception, I wish someone would smile at least once. Looking at other reviews, I'm not sure they want to improve. We only stayed one short night and left in a hurry, so it didn't cause much trouble for us, but as a tourist I'd rather feel welcomed than just get a good price. There are no geysers in the toilets, and I wonder what budget they planned for each room 🙂. Parking is along the kerb, with no dedicated space.

The room was an okay, manageable size, and the rate was reasonable. Autos are easy to find outside the hotel. But hospitality and room service were practically nonexistent: even after repeated reminders, they brought only water and wouldn't provide toiletries or morning tea supplies. They do offer paid meals, though the menu prices are very high.
