The bathroom taps and fittings weren't working properly. The rooms themselves are spacious and clean, with an old-fashioned look to the doors, windows, tables, and wardrobe. The lift is old too, but it works. There seemed to be no other guests, perhaps because of where the hotel is. I like the location because it's near my old home, though tourists may find it a bit far from Gwalior's usual attractions. I'd stay again on my next trip and see whether they've renovated. I can review again after that.

It's an old place, so most auto drivers going from Gwalior station know where it is. The market location is well connected and close to places to eat. The staff are friendly and the property is clean. Rooms are okay for the price, and the food is decent. WiFi is weak.

Hotel Surbhi is near CM Rise padmaraje girls H.S. school Gwalior part 1, Kampoo lashkar gwalior, and it's easy to find. But don't just walk in, because they may charge a lot. I paid 1400 rs for one day at Oyo hotel Surbhi, even though the Oyo website listed 451 for a day from 12pm to 11 Am. I checked in around 5 am and left at 6 pm, and still had to pay a total of 902 rs for the room with all amenities. They also asked for IDs for everyone travelling with me. If you're travelling with family, give just one person's ID. You don't need to provide everyone's ID unless you're staying more than 3 days.

The reception staff were not supportive, and they charge more than the room and service are worth. The intercoms didn't work, the washrooms were dirty, the flush was broken, and the taps leaked. The toilet seats were very dirty, too. They don't replace the towels regularly. Not worth what we paid. 😡😡😠😠😤😤
