This is probably the best located hotel in Haridwar, right on the bank of Har ki Pauri Ghat with lovely Ganga views from the balcony. I arrived without a booking and got a room easily. There are two entrances, one off the upper main road and one from the ghat. The bathing ghat is a one-minute walk away and felt safe and clean. If you want to bathe in the river, you can leave your clothes in the room and just take a towel. The room was small for the tariff, but its condition was decent. The AC worked, though it wasn't in great shape, the bed was manageable, and the bathroom was clean. The TV didn't work. Hospitality was good, nothing extraordinary. A solid budget option if you want great views. ☺️💗🌊

Brij Lodge is in a prime spot right in front of the ghat, with breathtaking Ganga views and a peaceful feel. The staff, especially Prashant Singh, were so helpful and polite that the place felt like home. Our room was cozy, clean, and well-organized, though there may be room to improve some things. The food was decent, and the tea was excellent, definitely a highlight. It's a lovely, welcoming choice for a trip with family or friends, and a peaceful, comfortable place to stay in Haridwar.

We visited at Christmas 2025 and had a really good experience. In such cold weather, they even provided hot drinking water when a customer asked. The staff were all very good, cooperative, and polite, and they do their best for customers.

The doors at both the main entrance and the ghat side have set closing times, so there's little benefit to staying here if you want to explore the market. Whenever you come back from the market, you have to ask staff to open the door. They never mentioned these timing rules when booking, so we only found out after arriving. The staff person was very rude about the hours too. Worst experience.

My parents felt right at home here, which made the stay especially meaningful for us. The hotel was peaceful and welcoming, and everything was clean and well organized. Staff were polite and quick to help, and the rooms felt cozy. It worked well for everyone in the family, and we're already thinking about coming back.
