Staygo Hotel Near Haridwar Railway station

The staff were so cooperative, and the rooms were clean and tidy. They even made quality food to order without onion. When my child needed warm milk and a sanitized blanket, I felt blessed by how they helped. The washroom was deeply hygienic, and even the glasses had covers. What a class ahead of the rest. A profound hotel chain in North India and other states. I give #StayGo Hotels six out of five stars. Kudos!

The road to this hotel is very narrow and crowded, and the whole stay was the worst hotel experience of my life. The room, table, toilet, and bedding were filthy, with dust everywhere. The flush didn’t work, the cupboard rods were broken, and they didn’t even provide drinking water. The staff made fools of tourists and seemed greedy for money. Worst service. Please never visit this garbage hotel.

The room itself was good, but the staff’s behaviour was awful and I never felt welcome. I booked a four-bed room after calling several times to explain our timing preferences, and they assured me we could stay without hassle. They quoted an amount with conditions, and I paid a little extra. When I asked for the rest back, they refused, saying that was the agreed total. The man I’d spoken with on the phone argued with me horribly. The amount was small, but he should have kept his word. Even after I’d given the number of guests and the dates and times, he made an issue of it. We were there only 12 hours, mostly away, and he used slang I couldn’t bring myself to answer. So I left. The person who opened the door in the morning seemed frustrated that we had arrived early. The place shown on the website was completely different from what we found, tucked somewhere between the “Galis.”

My stay in room 203 from 20 Oct to 21 Oct 2022 was very bad. This is basically an OYO room operating under the name Hotel Dev. The power was switched off for 4-5 hours at night. I asked at other hotels and told the owner, and only then was it switched back on. When we returned from our Rishikesh tour, there was no bathroom water. The TV, Wi-Fi, and intercom didn’t work either. The staff seemed to pass the time instead of doing their jobs. With staff not doing their duty, I can see why the hotel struggles to make a profit despite being in a prime Haridwar location. Only 5-6 check-ins happen daily, and 70-80% of the rooms are vacant.
