Gopi and his team made us feel comfortable, then like part of the family. We spent New Year's Eve 25/26 dancing together by the fire pit, and a few days later we joined his daughter's birthday party. Thanks, Gopi, for welcoming us into your home and helping so much with our travels. We hope to return one day. This is a peaceful spot away from the busy Hampi bazaar and new town, but still reachable by tuktuk, bike, or scooter rented in town. The rooms are simple, clean, and comfortable, with shaded shared spaces under trees that Gopi taught us to identify. We ate really well, with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, and the staff can adjust meals to your requirements. Gopi helped arrange our tuktuk temple outings as part of the transfer from Hospete. We also loved climbing the rocks behind the homestay at sunrise and sunset to watch langurs and birds. There's a nice little river nearby for walks and bird watching.

Food was a real highlight. Try the chicken tikka masala, banana fry, and banana flower curry. The bonfire at night was lovely, and the place would suit families, friends, couples, really anyone. It's peaceful and beautiful, with lots of trees and boulders that make it feel like a true nature stay. We visited Gopi Plantation Homestay from 23rd to 25th December. It's on the outskirts of Hampi, and the drive there is beautiful. Check-in and check-out were smooth, the rooms were big, especially for city folks, and hygiene was maintained very well. One thing to improve would be the language issue, which made communication between guests and the hosts or caretaker a little difficult.

It's a quiet setting in a banana plantation, about 20 minutes from Hampi's main temples. The owners were kind and helpful, keeping in touch from the time we landed in Hubli to make sure we were on the way. The room was clean, the shower was hot, and breakfast and dinner were good. There was also a bonfire, a hammock, and kids' games planned.

Locals told us about this place, and it lived up to the recommendation. We only stopped for lunch because we'd already booked somewhere to stay, but the rooms looked clean and comfortable when we checked them out. I'd definitely stay here if we return. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and lunch was delicious, especially the local banana flower curry. Afterward we took a short walk to a river with an amazing view. Thank you, Gobi!
