Metropolis Hotel

I paid a premium but didn’t feel I got value for it, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. I had reserved an AC room but was assigned a non-AC one at check-in. Cleanliness was very poor, and the property seemed old and badly maintained. Even basic things like hangers were missing, and the bathroom didn’t close properly, so there was no privacy. There are other hotels in Hubli worth considering.

The calm, welcoming atmosphere and the cooperative, polite staff made the stay smooth and comfortable. There was ample parking, which was a big plus. My room was spacious, quiet, and very well maintained, with the essentials provided: water bottles, a shaving kit, toothbrush and toothpaste, and fresh bedding. There was also coffee, sugar, and a kettle, plus prompt, reliable laundry service. The bathroom had good-quality shampoo and toiletries. This is a well-managed hotel that pays attention to details, and I’d recommend it for a comfortable, stress-free stay.

The location is excellent, and the rooms are manageable. Reception service was excellent too, but service in the top-floor food section was pathetic. The staff there need to change, or they should be told to drop the VIP attitude. The food quality was deplorable.

I booked a Non-AC Executive Room through Goibibo for a business trip, and the staff upgraded me to an AC Executive Room without charging extra. It was clean and comfortable, and the food was nice. Metropolis Hotel is in the Hubballi City Centre, close to both the Bus Station and Railway Station, which worked well for business. It has AC and Non-AC rooms, a lift, and reception and room service around the clock. Hot and cold water are provided, and there’s a top-floor in-house restaurant with good food. There’s ample parking with security as well. I had a great stay with good service.
