Hotel Swarnaa Paradise

It’s in a good location, but the price feels too high for what you get. Service is a hassle: you call, call again, go down to reception, then keep waiting. The rooms smelled bad and had cockroaches. Looking around the property, it seemed like it may once have been a good hotel, but the current team hasn’t maintained it.

Booking online is a bit cheaper than paying at the hotel. The lodge sits right beside Hubli Railway Station’s main gate, so it’s very handy for travelers. Rooms have decent interiors and air conditioning, but there are no non-AC rooms. Rates start at ₹2000, which feels expensive without breakfast included, and even water ordered to the room costs extra. Watch the checkout time, since a delay can bring extra charges. If you want a clean, comfortable stay near the station and don’t mind paying more, it could work.

It’s a good place to stay, and the hygiene is good. Still, the management should fix a few things in the room: the door knob is broken and the tap doesn’t work properly. There were mosquitoes in the washroom too.

We asked to check in early at 6:30 am and paid an extra 450-500 Rs. That felt worthwhile because the room was spacious and nicely designed, with a clean bathroom and fittings in good shape. The sheets and towels were fresh and fairly spotless. The hotel is also conveniently close to the railway station, about 250-300 meters away. It was a pleasant stay.
