The bathroom was missing basics like towels and soap, and there wasn’t even a rail to hang them on. There was a pigeon’s nest inside the toilet. The photos on the OYO website looked heavily edited and misleading. I found leftover food from another guest on a plate under the bed, and the blankets and pillows were dirty and seemed used. Dust was everywhere, and it was clear the room hadn’t been cleaned before I arrived. The place felt unhygienic. Several electrical outlets were broken, the AC didn’t work, and the listed Wi-Fi wasn’t available. The bedsheet also had holes that looked like cigarette burns, as shown in the image. This was my worst OYO stay, and I’ve decided never to book with OYO again.

Getting there was easy, with metro, bus and auto access, and a small mall nearby for shopping. The room was spacious and clean, and the weather was pleasant. Check-in and check-out both went smoothly. Still, nobody came to clean our room during the three days we were there. It was good value and a decent stay, though there’s plenty to improve. Hooks in the bathroom for clothes and a clothes stand in the room would help.

Even with a confirmed reservation, you may arrive at Palak Residency Hotel in Erragadda and be told there are no rooms. My impression is that they favor walk-in guests willing to pay more. My online booking was rejected, which wasted time and caused inconvenience. I’d avoid booking this hotel through an online site and choose somewhere else.

I travel a lot, but this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. I booked online in January 2026 and called ahead; they told me to come, but when I arrived at about 11 PM, nearly midnight, they refused my reservation. It was my first time in Hyderabad, and I told them I had nowhere to go at that hour, but they didn’t care. After rushing around for an hour, I somehow found somewhere to stay that night. The way they treated me felt arrogant, unethical and inhuman. Don’t book this hotel online, because they may tell you all the rooms are taken when you get there.
