Minerva Grand Kondapur

I went to Minerva grand hotel Kondapur for dinner and tried the Mutton Biryani bone less. The rice was full of flavor and the mutton was tender and cooked just right. I only wished there had been a bit more mutton for the amount of rice. I really enjoyed the meal, and the service was good too.

The hotel is in a calm, posh part of Banjara hills, and the rooms are excellent, spacious, neat, and clean. Staff are very courteous, and room service was very prompt. Food is very costly, though. I’d love to stay here again on my next visit.

The housekeeping staff were professional, but my experience with the front office was humiliating. I booked an Executive Suite Room Room with Breakfast for one guest and paid Rs 7,453. When I asked to add two guests, I was charged an extra Rs 2675 for the same suite. I later saw that a booking for three guests cost the same Rs 7,453. My only mistake was leaving the three guests’ names off the original booking. The lady receptionist spoke in a humiliating tone and behaved as if insulting guests. When I approached her with my family, she asked if I was going for a single occupancy, then gestured as if I had done something wrong after I explained there were two additional guests. Another staff member sat beside her, and they both laughed, which felt insulting. She first said Rs 1500 +GST per person, then said to pay 1000+GSt for one person and 1500 +GST for the other. I wasn’t given a bill for the extra charges. The booking details showed three guests, one room, one night, from Jan 11, 2026 to Jan 12, 2026, at Minerva Grand- Kondapur. The listing showed ₹7,453 INR total, due now, and nothing due at the hotel. I have a screenshot of the charges. Please think twice before booking, as I felt deceived and was treated in a humiliating way.

Dinner service was prompt and amazing, which is why I gave four stars. The breakfast service needs work, as the staff seemed either overworked or unfamiliar with basic service etiquette. I stayed after a long time. The room size and upkeep were good, and the food tasted good and was good quality.
