OYO 16606 Iconic Living

There isn't a restaurant, and the breakfast is just for show. The room had shabby linen, no hangers in the wardrobe, and no plug point near the head of the bed. Mosquitoes were everywhere, including in the small bathroom. The AC pipe runs through the window net, leaving a gap for them to get in. Don't expect toiletries beyond a small bar of soap and body wash. I'm really surprised OYO doesn't monitor the standards of the hotels it recommends. I'll think twice, or more, before booking another OYO room.

The staff were friendly and cooperative, but I left feeling that the stay didn't meet customer expectations. I saw cockroaches in the room, and the breakfast had been ordered from outside and handed over as it arrived. The outside of the rooms could use improvement too: they were being painted, with paint all over the ground. Given the low price among OYO hotels, I'd still expected a certain standard for cleanliness, room size, and breakfast.

The room was neat, but the mosquitoes were excessive. The TV had Telugu channels. In room 2002, the fan made a lot of noise as it struck the false ceiling, and the AC was noisy too, even on low fan speed.

The owner's the loveliest person I've spoken to in the hotel business. They sorted out a booking problem caused by OYO, and they really understand hospitality. It's a quiet, cozy spot on a secluded street, a little way from the main road, but cabs are easy to find and can pick you up. WiFi is available. Breakfast is very bad because there's no kitchen yet, so they buy it from a local eatery.
