OYO 17315 Opal Residency

The lift wasn’t working, so we had to climb five floors. Staying here was a terrible experience. Our room was in poor condition. There was no table or mirror, the tap kept leaking and making a loud noise, and the bedsheet wasn’t clean.

Breakfast was another mess. They said they’d bring it to my room at 8:15 a.m., but I waited until 9:30 and nothing came. The receptionist then said they didn’t know I wanted breakfast, and half an hour later someone brought puru bhaji in a plastic bag. They had no plates, so I threw it away and went out. In the evening I reported that the TV wasn’t working. They said maybe the setup box needed a recharge, but didn’t fix it. I was given room 505 on the fifth floor, but there was no key. Staff told me to leave the door unlocked because cameras were everywhere and my belongings would be safe. I was late for a meeting, so I left it open rather than argue. When I returned that night, the lift was closed. They said I’d have to use the stairs, and although I asked to change rooms, they said the hotel was full. I had to climb to the fifth floor. The bathroom floor was so slippery I nearly fell. The AC made a lot of noise without cooling properly, kept me awake all night, and leaked water into the room. This was the worst hotel stay and service. I’m completely disappointed.

After returning to our room today, I found some of my things missing. I asked the staff about it, but they had no answer. They ignored us, and the service was very bad. We booked four rooms through OYO and checked in on 8.10.19. Two rooms had no keys because the locks weren’t working. When we asked to move, staff said not to worry because there were CCTV cameras everywhere and nothing would happen. They also said they would change our rooms that night, but never did. There was no mirror or cupboard in the room, either. A very bad hotel.

The rooms were in terrible shape and the service was no good. At checkout, the receptionist took my phone on some pretext and left a 5-star review on my behalf. Pathetic. Don’t trust the online reviews or ratings. I’ll leave it at that, the photos speak for themselves.
