After this experience, my whole organization decided to stop booking through MMT, and we marked this hotel as “Don’t book at any circumstance.” I’d booked two nights through MAKE MY TRIP, feeling overconfident about it. After check-in there was no drinking water in the room, and reception told me to buy a bottle there, though I expected it to be complimentary. The bathroom had no toiletries or towel. Reception eventually gave me a towel, but I had to order toiletries through InstaMart. The next morning I needed an iron, listed among the amenities on Make My Trip, since I travel for work and don’t carry one. They told me to find an outside laundry service, which was also listed as an amenity. After a heated discussion, reception gave me the manager’s number. He said he’d update me, but I heard nothing for an hour. I complained to Make My Trip and asked to cancel the second night. I’d already checked out and handed over the key, then had to go to a meeting in a wrinkled shirt. When MMT contacted the hotel, management said I left because of the iron issue and that nothing else was wrong. While I was asking for the promised amenities, staff told me, “this much only we can do, if you want you can stay.” MMT then said there was no issue at the hotel.
