The Botanica Grand

The staff were polite, room service was on time, and the rooms were clean and spacious. The location was good and properly civilized, and the tea and coffee were yummy. I had a few issues, though. Someone else’s brush was in the bathroom, its air freshener was empty, and the bathroom door wouldn’t lock from inside because the knob was broken. One knob on the room’s main door wasn’t working either. Fixing these would make stays better. My room number was 503, if needed.

The room and food area were unhygienic, and I saw random couples at night. The receptionist was very rude.

The Wi-Fi, Netflix, geyser, and location were good. But the room wasn’t clean at all: the bedsheet was muddy, smelly, and dirty, and the bathroom was dirty too. During my three-day stay, nobody did room service. The towel they gave me was very old, used, and nearly torn. I’d only recommend the place for those positives.

We ended up cancelling and checking in somewhere else. Cleartrip’s Mr. Neelesh asked to speak with the hotel staff, but the receptionists wouldn’t communicate or help sort things out. One, an Orissa guy, was especially rude. They insisted we cancel and wouldn’t give us the manager’s contact details. We spent an hour waiting at reception with mosquitoes after arriving at 9:30 PM on 9th July 2024 for our double occupancy booking through Cleartrip, which was for 9th to 11th July. The hotel couldn’t find the reservation and said it was sold out, even though rooms were still available online. The staff rudely told us to contact Cleartrip and said it wasn’t their problem. This was extremely disappointing. I don’t recommend Botanica Grand.
