Hotel Ivanna

It's in the middle of the city, but the whole hotel smells of cigarette smoke. There are insects around, too. Skip it.

We arrived around midnight to find no water. When I woke at 6 in the morning, there was no electricity either. The receptionist said he couldn't help, and there wasn't a maintenance person available for a 20-room hotel. I asked for a candle, was told it would come in ten minutes, and don't think anyone ever brought it. I left my phone charging at reception and was gone by 8 am, but no owner or caretaker had shown up. I asked for a refund of Rs 620 and was refused. I'm not letting this go.

The room, bed, and their condition were good by my standards, and the price, location, and staff were great. The owner was responsible and gave us guidance on exploring Indore. The bathroom, though, was too small and unhygienic.

The place felt like a bad environment, and both children and older people in our group had a lot of trouble staying there. Our room wasn't maintained: cockroaches and rats were inside, the bedsheets had holes, and the floor was sticky. There were no mirrors in the rooms. We were unsatisfied.
