Hotel Shridevi

At about 400 m from the railway station, this is a reasonably priced option if you need somewhere to stay, and there are AC rooms. The room itself is okay for the location, though I wouldn't choose it for a honeymoon. There are several food options nearby, but I felt the area was missing a good restaurant. They don't have an in-house restaurant, though they can order food for you through an arrangement. No parking or lift, and rooms start on the first floor. The staff are good and can arrange an extra mattress if you ask.

The review raises questions about whether the room or shared areas were dirty, including possible mold, dust, or surfaces that hadn't been cleaned. It also asks whether staff were rude, unhelpful, slow to respond, or failed to address concerns.

I stayed here on an official visit because it was close to Itarsi junction railway station, which made catching a train easy. Hotel shridevi is a budget place for when you need a room in an emergency, and the amenities match that price range. I'd say it's neither good nor bad. My only concern was that I felt the water might not be RO; otherwise, I have nothing bad to say.

We ended up staying in Itarsi because there weren't many other places to choose from. We went during the first wave of Corona, and there were a lot of formalities before he was allowed into the room. The room was fine, but room service only had water, and the rent was high. It's easy to walk here from the station, so it's okay if you need to stay nearby. There's nothing else special about it, and I wouldn't recommend it.
