The room invasions were the worst part of my friend’s two-night stay. On the second night, a staff member tried to get in with a master key. My friend thought it might have been an honest mistake, but staff tried the door again the next morning while he was there with his partner. The front desk didn’t respond when he raised it, and he only got through to the manager after some time. The manager acknowledged what had happened and offered money, but the owner dismissed the issue and wouldn’t accept that the staff member had made a mistake or provide compensation. My friend filed a consumer court complaint seeking justice. The emotional harm from the incident and the harsh treatment can’t be undone with money. Before those incidents, he had liked the property and its location. His stay had already been frustrating because the AC wasn’t working; staff made excuses, and only agreed to move him after repeated complaints. Experiences like this show how callous and profit-driven the tourism industry can be. Such incidents may be uncommon, but they shouldn’t be brushed off. A hotel can look attractive and still offer a very unpleasant reality.

My friend liked the property and its location at first, but service problems changed his view during his two-night stay. The AC wasn’t working properly, and staff kept making excuses before finally agreeing to move him after he complained. Then a staff member used a master key to enter his room. He first let it go as a possible mistake, but it happened again the next morning while he was with his partner. When he raised the repeated intrusion, the manager eventually offered compensation. The owner, though, dismissed the incident and refused compensation or legal action against the staff member. My friend has taken the matter to consumer court over the distress and poor treatment. Money can’t undo the emotional impact on the couple. These incidents may not happen often, but they shouldn’t be waved away. A place can seem appealing and still reveal a very unpleasant side.

My friend went to the consumer court after what happened during his two-night booking, hoping to get justice. He had liked the hotel and its location at first, but the AC wasn’t working properly. Staff made excuses when he complained and only agreed to change rooms after several attempts. On the second night, someone tried to enter with a master key. My friend was uncomfortable, but laughed it off as a possible mistake and didn’t make a fuss. The next morning, while he was with his partner, staff tried again. He went down to reception to ask what was going on, but the front desk seemed uninterested in helping. Eventually he spoke to the manager, who understood the problem and offered monetary compensation. The owner brushed him off, wouldn’t accept the staff member’s mistake, and refused compensation or legal action. No amount of money can repair the emotional harm or the harsh treatment the couple experienced. This shows the insensitive, money-minded side of the tourism industry. It may not happen every day, but incidents like this shouldn’t be casually ignored. The hotel may look attractive at first, but things can turn ugly.

I booked through booking.com with free cancellation, but the hotel immediately demanded a deposit and said it would cancel if I didn’t pay. They gave me no way to use an international credit card and ignored my messages, while continuing to ask for payment. I found somewhere else and cancelled the FabHotel, which booking.com said would be free. Then the hotel demanded a random amount and threatened to take me to court in Delhi. Good luck extraditing me from the UK for that. A terrible hotel and business. I wish I’d never dealt with them.

Booking.com told me payment was due at the hotel, and I had confirmation for both rooms I booked with Fab Hotel Suriya. Two days later, Fabhotel said the rooms wouldn’t be reserved unless I paid a deposit or the full amount. I paid in full, then a few days later they notified me that they’d cancelled the booking. I’ve never had this happen with an online booking before. If hotels are going to mess you around like this, Fabhotel isn’t worth considering. I could understand if I hadn’t received confirmation from both. Demanding payment and then cancelling is poor hospitality. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
