I’m looking forward to coming back to the property and visiting the Fort in Barli. My brother and I stayed at several places on our first Jaipur trip, including palaces, but Dileep Kothi was my favorite by far. It was the only one where I felt I experienced true Rajasthani hospitality, like being welcomed into a beautiful home. The service and food were fantastic, and the meals felt fresh and homemade. I had the thali every day. We met the gracious proprietors, Mr. Divyraj Singh and Mrs. Nityasri Rathore, who took time to chat and welcome us warmly. Thanks to Yadit for helping throughout our stay, and to Dinesh for taking such good care of us with the food. Apologies to everyone whose name I’ve missed.

Each morning’s breakfast was a highlight, varied and generous without becoming repetitive. I could never finish it all, and it made the day feel like it was starting royally. Living rooms on every floor gave us room to spread out beyond our bedrooms. The house combines Rajputana heritage with modern elegance, and its family photographs and memories make the history feel close. The personal hospitality was warm and generous, with the family anticipating needs without making it feel transactional. For two days at Dileep Kothi, I felt less like a guest and more like I belonged in a beautiful Rajasthani home. That’s what hospitality should feel like.

With Jaipur so frenetic, this place felt like a calm oasis, with lovely staff and excellent food. The smoked chicken curry especially stood out. An early train meant I missed breakfast on the second day, but they served us coffee before we left, which I appreciated.

The communal dining area was beautifully arranged and made it easy to chat with other guests. Antique photographs throughout the sparkling clean hotel offered a glimpse into the royal family’s heritage, and I felt privileged to see it. The suites were lavishly furnished, and the dining was fabulous thanks to Chef Dinesh and his team. Mrs. Satkriti and her team run this memorable boutique hotel extremely well, with special thanks to Govind, Mukesh, and Yadit. It’s conveniently located in Jaipur, and I’d recommend Dileep Kothi to anyone visiting.

The cooking class with the Barli family and Chef Govind was the most memorable part of our visit. It was a warm evening of cultural exchange and insight into authentic local recipes. Dileep Kothi, once the palace of the royal family Barli, is now an elegant boutique hotel, spotless and finished with extraordinary attention to detail. A cake and bottle of wine were waiting in our room when we arrived, and we felt welcome from the start. It’s a peaceful oasis amid bustling Jaipur, and we wholeheartedly recommend it for a refined, personal, unforgettable stay.
