Hotel Star Palace

We had to leave early because even getting clean bedsheets took repeated requests, and they still never arrived. There was no drinking water or handwash, so we were left begging for basic things. The staff and others kept harassing us whenever we stepped out, and calls continued from the front desk and random people until we agreed to things. Somehow they had our number from the hotel. Rickshaw drivers may steer you here claiming it's the best budget option, but these are filthy hotels they have ties with. They also push tour cars and guides. Don't agree to those offers or tell them your plans. You can find better prices online and bargain there. Save your money and yourself the trouble.

The room was tiny for what it cost, and the bathroom was really dirty. The sheets and pillowcases hadn't been changed or washed. I didn't want to stay even an hour. Please research carefully before booking, we booked through goibibo.

The rooms were good and the staff polite, but I found a hair in the water they refilled for us once. They went into a room to fill it, and drinking water like that felt really unhygienic.

This is a third class hotel. They charged me Rs. 1350 for a room where the manager controls the A/C, so we had to ask him to turn it on. Don't even expect them to provide water.
