Kesar Palace by OYO Rooms

We ordered dal bati churma and garlic rice, and the food earned five stars from us. The restaurant’s head person was friendly too. You can get an excellent view of jal mahal from the restaurant.

We booked in a hurry and found the location was good, but the staff’s behavior wasn’t. The bedsheets were old and dirty, and the bathroom water stopped in the morning. Still wouldn’t recommend it.

The restaurant manager argued with us over the bill. He removed one item worth around 400 RS, but only took 100 RS off the final amount. The plates were another problem: all of them had orange marks, and even after exchanging them the replacements were marked. They told us, “kuch nai hota.” The food tasted disgusting too. This was the worst restaurant we came across in rajasthan, and I’d rate it one star. Tourist guides may recommend the place because they get commission, but don’t come here.

Kesar palace had helpful staff and divine food, and the ambience made it a lovely place to relax. The climate was ideal for a holiday. There are plenty of interesting nearby trips, including jalmahal, amer fort, nahargarh fort and jaigarh fort. It’s the kind of place I’d happily return to.
