I love the peaceful feel of Hotel Mahar Haveli. It’s on Amber Road, and the calm energy of this old, beautiful house is just what I needed. With its high ceilings and lovely interiors, it feels like a small royal Jaipuri palace, and I can imagine being part of a royal family here. The colorful glass on my windows catches the light beautifully each day, and there are little paintings on the walls and ceiling. My room has a large bed and a sturdy table and chair, so it’s comfortable to work in. The staff are nice and quick to help, while the quiet gives me plenty of privacy. I also like the Peacock restaurant on the ground floor, open for lunch from 11.00 - 16.00, though food can be ordered at any time. 10 out of 10 for me :)

The staff were very friendly and cooperative, and breakfast was tasty and generous enough for two, although the food is expensive. The hotel also has a home like atmosphere. It’s close to the places you may want to visit, so you’ll still need a cab or local transport to get to them.

The food was delicious, with traditional local dishes to choose from, and the management team was great. This place sits in the middle of the beautiful pinkcity and gives you a glimpse of the town’s royal past, with an authentic Rajasthani feel.
