We found this place at the last minute in 2012, with nowhere else lined up, and I’d book it again next time I’m in the pink city. The owner or manager seemed wary about renting to a foreigner and kept my passport overnight, which made me a little uneasy. Check-in took about an hour, then the six of us split between two rooms. They were huge and clean, with TVs, and the large bathrooms had hot water on tap. The morning shower was great. The top-floor terrace balcony was lovely for tea and breakfast, and the yard was full of tropical flowers and birds. Such a great find in the middle of Jaipur.
