Payal went above and beyond, and my wife and I felt like family. The cooking course was informative and finished with a delicious meal. Our room was comfortable and spacious, and the stay was very good value. But what makes this place special is more than saving money or getting your money’s worth.

I’m not usually quick to judge, but I think everyone deserves courtesy and decent behavior. I found the host arrogant and dismissive when I tried to get information about a cab she booked for my friend, a foreign woman traveling alone. The driver stopped along the way and asked her for money unnecessarily. I wanted the car and driver details so I could make a complaint and address her safety, but the host responded with attitude instead of taking it seriously. What was my friend supposed to take home from that experience if nobody cared about her safety? Her communication and attitude were a problem for me. She has no manners, and I think many of the online reviews are fake. There are cheaper, better places to stay, so be careful before booking here. She seems ready to fight over small things. I didn’t even want to give one star. I hope she gets well soon.

A lovely homestay. Payal’s cooking class and food tour are great, and you can also book a very comfortable room without those extras.
