Stephels Hostel

Stephels Hostel was an affordable place to stay in Jaipur, and the staff were polite, helpful, and cooperative the whole time. I had a good experience overall. The room could use more plug points, though. There was only one, and its electric board was a bit damaged. Two outlets would be much more convenient. The toilets also need better upkeep.

We got a clean, well-kept room in the city center, with transport easy to find nearby. The staff were cooperative and let us check in early. A great option for a budget stay.

Beds are comfortable, the location is central, and the price is budget friendly. Raj, the owner, is a decent man and will sort out any problem you have. 🙏

The garden is pleasant, and the property is spacious. One receptionist was kind and helpful. My room was satisfactory for what I paid, since it was among the cheapest options I found in Jaipur. It had a ceiling fan, but no window nets, which was annoying with the mosquitoes. I was also charged extra when I arrived. What made the stay feel unsafe and disrespectful was the owner's behavior. On the afternoon I arrived, he touched my leg without permission. I told him clearly to stop, but he continued making me uncomfortable. That evening near reception, he stood very close and kept asking me questions after I said I wasn't interested and wanted to be left alone. The next morning, while I waited for my taxi, he grabbed and squeezed my arm, asked if I was strong, and wouldn't let go of my hand. I told him not to touch me, but he kept trying again. I had already paid for three nights, so I couldn't move elsewhere. I left feeling unsafe throughout my stay. I strongly advise both international and Indian travelers to be cautious about this hostel. Safety and respect matter when choosing accommodation, and Stephels Hostel did not provide either because the owner disregarded my boundaries.
