Mosquitoes and insects in our room made it impossible to sleep or relax. When we complained, management did very little to sort it out. The staff had been unhelpful and seemed unconcerned from the moment we arrived, making our family stay uncomfortable. Maru Villa was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. Its unclean conditions and poor service drowned out any charm it might have had. I wouldn't recommend it, especially with better places in Jaisalmer offering real hospitality and a pleasant stay.

The rooftop dining spot has one of the best views of Jaisalmer. Inside, the decor brings traditional and modern styles together beautifully. The staff are courteous and ready to help, too. A lovely boutique hotel to stay at while visiting Jaisalmer.

The promised breakfast was stale bread and lukewarm tea, and I couldn't find the advertised Wi-Fi at all. My room needed serious upkeep: broken fixtures, a musty odor, stained bedding, and a bathroom that hadn't been properly sanitized. It felt more like a neglected hostel. I found the hospitality shockingly poor from arrival. Check-in dragged on, staff seemed indifferent, and when I raised these problems they were dismissive and unhelpful. Maru Villa was a huge letdown and overshadowed my time in Jaisalmer. I'd strongly suggest staying elsewhere.

The view of Jaisalmer fort was lovely, and the food was good. The team looked after us well, from arrival through to departure, with great hospitality. They even helped us find good lighting when we wanted to take photos. A wonderful place.

The kids got the most out of their stay, and there were chess and carom boards available whenever we wanted them. The property sits on a large plot, with big rooms and an authentic royal palace feel. Don't forget to take some amazing pictures. Overall, a nice experience for us.
