Hotel Siddhartha

Vyas Sir made our stay memorable with his personal hospitality and help exploring Jaisalmer city. The whole visit felt like a real homestay, from the smooth check-in through checkout. We felt completely at home, and I’d especially recommend the place to families looking for comfort and genuine care.

Mr Vinay Vyas arranged a full-day reserved car tour for us to Tanot Mata temple, Pakistan Border, Longewala war field, and Sam Sand dunes. We watched the sunset in the desert, then returned to the hotel the same day because it was too cold to stay overnight. The tour cost 6,000/- for us. There are also Jain temples inside the fort worth visiting, and staying a few days is a good way to enjoy Jaisalmer. We spent five days here in the first week of February 2026, and the stay was beautiful. We’re a senior citizen couple from Kolkata. We hadn’t heard of the hotel before. We asked an auto driver to take us to the Jaisalmer fort gate, left my wife and luggage somewhere safe, and I went looking inside the fort for a budget hotel. I knew there were hotels up high with a royal feel and panoramic city views at sunrise and sunset. Local shopkeepers pointed me to this one. Mr Vinay Vyas welcomed me, and I chose a room with a good view at a price I could manage as a retired person: rs 1,200 per day in early February. The room was nice, had an attached bath, and running hot water in the morning. Rates rise in December and January for peak season. We’re non-vegetarians, so we chose to eat outside the fort, as the food was optional and vegetarian. Getting luggage from the fort gate up to the hotel could be a problem, but Mr.Vyas carried it, along with my wife, on his scooter. When we left, he took our luggage by scooter to the outside auto stand too. If you stay there, don’t bring too much oversized luggage. There’s also a well-equipped kitchen with gas, utensils, and the needed spices, which guests can use to cook for a small charge.

We barely needed the air conditioning in either of our two rooms because the natural breeze was so strong and refreshing. Both rooms had a view and AC. We stayed from the 5th to the 7th of October, and it was one of our best experiences. As Bengalis, we’ve long been drawn to staying inside Jaisalmer Fort, or Sonar Kella, perhaps thanks to Satyajit Ray. Vinay Vyas ji was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the vegetarian food he served was delicious.

Vinayji arranged a desert stay at kk resorts for us, and we had a great time on our Jaisalmer tour. We spent two nights in Jaisalmer, including one at siddharth hotel inside sonar kella. Vinay ji’s hospitality made it feel like home, and we’ll remember it for a lifetime.
