Hotel Sun Shine

Mr. Meghraj made us feel welcome, and the staff were polite and helpful. They prepared a special dinner for us, which was delicious. We also enjoyed the spacious, clean room with its basic facilities, along with the amazing views from the rooftop restaurant. They offer safari packages with a private taxi, camel safari, jeep safari, and a cultural program at sam sand dunes. It was a wonderful experience.

OYO 9614 Hotel The Sun Shine - Jaisalmer We stayed from 16th to 18th October, 2019. The reception made us feel unwelcome right away. When they realized we’d booked through OYO, they ignored us and seemed to make things difficult. The receptionist was cold and mean, and told us at least three times that our booking had been at a very low price. Even though the hotel was empty, they put us in a below average room. They turned off the AC line every two hours and came up with various excuses. They also didn’t provide toiletries at first. I’d ask people to avoid this hotel if they can. I’d also ask OYO to get its business in order and sort out these issues, because we end users are the ones who suffer.

The rooms smelled, the wall and Almirah were broken, the blankets smelled, and the bedsheet was dirty. Staff were rude, and they made us wait in the common area while they cleaned the room with us waiting outside. We found all this unacceptable and decided to leave for somewhere else. The agency I booked through described it as a 3 star hotel. When I told the receptionist we were leaving, he said I couldn’t check out until the next day at 2pm. So I left and told him to complete the checkout formalities whenever he wanted. They don’t deserve even one star. PATHETIC. PLEASE AVOID. IT'S A BIG NO FROM US.

Rats were roaming freely in the room, which smelled of smoke. When we told the old manager about the smoke, he said it would keep coming and told us to check out if we wanted. The manager was a terrible receptionist. The fan and smoke don’t work, and the AC units seem to be there just for show. Staying in your car would be a better option than this worst hotel.
