Sultan’s help after checkout really stood out. We’d checked out earlier to go to a desert camp, but he stored our luggage and later arranged a room for us to freshen up at no charge. That was genuinely appreciated. The property is beautiful, and our spacious room had a jharokha with a direct view of Jaisalmer Fort. Cleanliness could have been better, though. There was noticeable dust in several corners and on surfaces in the large room. We were also disturbed late at night by guests partying on the terrace directly above us. Loud music and tables being dragged continued until around 2 AM. I told staff three times, but the noise only stopped when the party ended. Guests’ behavior may not be fully in the hotel’s control, but staff could step in more firmly to protect other visitors’ comfort. My 5-star rating is mainly for the heritage property, the views, and the excellent hospitality, especially from Sultan.

My room was spacious and clean, and I slept well on the firm mattress. The restaurant is separately owned and was fine for what we needed. The place is good value for money, and what makes it special is the people. They couldn’t do enough for us, and because of that we ended up visiting more places than we’d planned.

We spent three nights at Hotel Lal garh jaisalmer with family, and the rooms were clean and well maintained. The hotel organized everything smoothly, from pickup at the jaisalmer airport through checkout. That made the family trip much easier and more memorable.

The food was excellent, and the portions were generous, which is hard to find these days. I ate there on two days and really liked the rooftop ambience. The dining chairs could be more comfortable, though, perhaps they’re meant to keep people from sitting too long. The staff were extremely courteous. The person at the downstairs reception, who seemed to be there mainly for hotel guests, was always busy on a mobile phone and did little to guide diners who weren’t staying at the hotel up to the rooftop restaurant. Apart from that, it’s an excellent place to dine in Jaisalmer and a must-visit for a meal.
