OYO 1397 Rana Villa

The reception looks fancy, but the rooms are dirty, the toilets are rotting, and the taps don't work properly. The blankets had a dirty smell that made the stay unpleasant. The staff are lazy and don't take care of the property. It's a waste of money.

I can only speak for the dorm, where I stayed. It's a large hotel room converted into a dorm, and it's very good. The beds are comfortable, and the attached bathroom is clean and luxurious. The rooftop restaurant serves good food at great prices, with a great view of the Jaisalmer fort as an extra treat. The staff are friendly, though they'll try to sell you desert Safari packages as soon as you check in. For a better, much cheaper deal, go to one of the travel agencies in the fort.

The staff were polite and helpful, and a Pug dog in the foyer greeted us when we came back to our room. The room was comfortable, and the indoor pool was a nice treat. The rooftop had a nice view of Fort, but there was little seating, which was too bad. Jasiamer is an incredible city with so much to offer: the story of Kuldhara, the abandoned city, the ghat, centopahs, the fort, the markets, and more.

The area around the hotel felt really bad and gave us an unpleasant vibe. Inside, the sheets, duvet covers, and pillowcases were dirty too, and we had to ask for clean replacements. It was the worst stay we’ve had recently.
