Flagship 70422 Hotel Lokenath

I was exhausted after an early morning journey and needed to check in as soon as possible. The front office staff on duty was taking more than the difference amount and collecting it through his personal UPI. I felt stuck and didn't have the energy to argue.

For around 400-500 a day through OYO, the rooms are fair value. They're a bit small but manageable, and the staff are good and couples are welcome. There are occasional power cuts, and since the hotel is on the top floor you have to take the stairs. Those tradeoffs seem reasonable for a room that costs hardly 500, so I don't regret it.

The staff's response was terrible. When I said I'd complain to OYO, he just told me to go ahead. I had booked through OYO, but at the hotel they refused to let me check in unless I paid an extra 500/- per day, even though I'd already paid OYO. It was a very disappointing experience.

It was 11:30 at night and they kept me waiting until 12:15 before letting me check in, and only after I paid what they demanded. They said my OYO booking amount was below the hotel's price. If they want to charge their own rate, why list the hotel on OYO and not accept its bookings? Very unprofessional.
