Hotel Sagar is handy if you want a central Jamshedpur stay with food available on site and aren’t looking for luxury. It’s a practical, average kind of place, often used by budget travelers and people visiting the city. The location on New Kalimati Road puts it near markets, transport hubs, and everyday conveniences, so it’s easy to reach and works for a short stay or work trip. Rooms are basic, with essential amenities. There’s an in-house restaurant and bar serving Indian food, both North and South, Chinese dishes, and local food, along with drinks. The meals are generally decent and convenient, though this isn’t fine dining, just straightforward food that fits the hotel’s average vibe.

The food and drinks were good, and there’s lots of space, including a very good party area and a bar. The ambience is nice, and the staff are friendly and laid-back. It’s a good fit for office parties and get-togethers. The price felt a little high, but seemed okay for the facilities.

Really poor service. The towels were in such awful condition I wouldn’t even use them to mop the floor. The reception staff were arrogant, and when I asked for coffee pouches, they said policy only allowed tea bags. There was no senior person available to deal with concerns. The receptionist acts like she owns the place.

The food quality was third-rate, and the staff’s behavior was really bad. I planned to stay four days, but checked out after just one and moved to another hotel. A very bad hotel.

Hi, I’m a guest. I liked the vibe, rooms, and ambience at Hotel Sagar, and the place itself was absolutely good. The service they provided, though, wasn’t to my liking.
