The Centre Square Hotel

Employees are polite and cooperative, and the rooms are clean, though only average. There's an in-house kitchen rather than a restaurant, with good vegetarian food at a reasonable price. A ground-floor room is a better choice; the second-floor rooms are average, and the lift wasn't working, making two floors difficult to manage. The hotel sits in the middle of the market, so it's very crowded, with heavy traffic and no parking during the day and evening. It may be okay if you're alone, but I wouldn't recommend it highly for families. Average hotel, average price.

I haven't stayed here, so this rating is for the vegetarian restaurant. Some dishes may suit you, but not all. Starters are average, curries and Naan are good, and Dal Makhani is bad. They serve sizzlers too, but for the price it's just a tikki with vegetables or paneer, without Noddles or Rice. I'd give it 3.5 stars, but went with 4 since it's the only pure vegetarian restaurant in town.

The owner seems to have a lot of confusion, and the place is quite expensive for the food, stay, ambiance, and everything else. The lift wasn't working. Dear Rakesh jee, I can only smile at the service we got. As a marketing professional, I'll make sure people hear about the confusion you created from day one, and the complimentary AC you offered from the first day to cover your own mistakes. As you said, nobody wants to stay for free when they can pay. We travel to many hotels in the state for work, and this was the worst experience with you. We had to keep reminding you to clean the room, even after leaving you the key for more than 7 hours. Nothing was worse than staying there.

The town is dirty and crowded, though the hotel is in Jhumri Tilaiya Market and is fine for a stay with family or friends. The room is comfortable and the toilet is good, but the bathroom fittings need maintenance and there should be an exhaust fan. Staff are cooperative. We only used room service.
