R and R Cottage

The best part for us was the service. The housekeepers were some of the friendliest and most helpful staff I’ve come across, and they were available whenever we needed them. Going angling with the owner, Rathna, was fun, and they made delicious fish pakoda from what we caught. The food was decent, though a bit hit or miss, and could improve along with the interior upkeep. It’s a cozy, affordable place near Jibhi market, with a calm atmosphere and fairly spacious rooms. The mud construction is fairly new, but mud can fall onto the sheets, so they need regular cleaning. There are steep stairs down to the river, and reaching the mezzanine bed can be awkward. Top marks for the service and access.

We’re looking forward to coming back. Of all the places on our itinerary, this was our favorite, with the river and birds making such lovely sounds nearby. The cottages were clean, hygienic, well kept, and had the basic amenities. Chander Ji, who helped manage the place, seemed to do everything and served us really well, including cooking delicious meals.

We’d definitely visit again. Mr. Chandar and the team looked after us so well, and the housekeeper provided great service. The cottage was surrounded by wilderness, with a lovely view and a river nearby where we could relax.

The river’s close by, and the view is amazing. We had a comfortable bed, good food service, and a beautiful, hygienic cottage. The service was excellent.
