Fairfield by Marriott Jodhpur

Mr. Negi at the front office was a huge help from check-in through check-out, and Mr. Ghatak, the Executive Chef, personally checked whether guests' food preferences were being met. That kind of attention stood out. Breakfast had plenty of choice, including excellent live counters. In the evenings, Cocktails and More had live music and was a nice place to unwind. In-room dining was quick, with an adequate menu. I stayed with my family for a short vacation and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is away from the city's bustle and makes for a peaceful retreat. Higher-floor rooms are a good choice for views of the city, including the impressive High Court building. There aren't many autos passing by because the property is outside the main center, but Uber was reliable, with few cancellations, so getting around locally was easy. I'd recommend it for a premium, seamless stay with family, friends or for business.

The Dal-Baati-Churma section at dinner was a thoughtful touch and a real highlight. The meal was decent overall, though the starter options could have been better. Staff were courteous and helpful, and the service was good. The High Court view is awesome, too. The hotel sits outside the crowded city, so sightseeing means traveling about 8 km. That gives the property more space and ample parking. The rooms are on the small side, as is typical for Fairfield/Marriott, but they were clean, hygienic and well maintained. There is no pool, which disappointed the children a bit. All in all, a decent stay with a few minor drawbacks. Rating: 4/5.

Our room was very clean, and Narayan had left cute towel animals and rose petal decorations. The stay was wonderful. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at Kava, and the Christmas Eve dinner was excellent. Sanjay always made sure we were looked after, and Bhagirath was a fantastic server. The one downside was the AC. Even set to 19, it didn't cool the room enough, and the temperature stayed around 23-24.

This was my first visit to Jodhpur, and I spent three days at this Marriott for important business. The hotel is small and has no spa or pool, but the staff more than made up for the limited amenities with their hospitality and support. Deepali at reception deserves special thanks. She handled every request and concern professionally and enthusiastically, sorted out complicated situations, and always had a warm smile. My other big thank-you goes to Suraj, the restaurant manager. The kitchen had a rough start with one dish, but once he got involved, the team got everything running smoothly. He conducted things like a maestro. I'm not easy to please when it comes to restaurant food and service, but he and his team exceeded my expectations. Hats off to the head chef for the phenomenal fish. Rohan was fairly new, yet did a wonderful job during my meal; when I return, I hope to see how he's progressed. Thanks to everyone at the Marriott. I'll definitely be back, and I'd highly recommend it to visitors from abroad and within India.
