Hill View Guest House

The staff made my stay comfortable, especially Rais, the caretaker, who was kind, helpful, and easy to deal with. My room was clean and well kept, and the food was freshly made and tasted good. The hill view was peaceful and refreshing. It felt like good value, and I'd recommend it for a quiet stay.

We stopped for an early lunch while coming down from the Fort, and the city view was lovely. The momos were good and the lassi was really good. The food isn't as spicy as at other restaurants around the city, which may suit you or may not. Service was friendly whenever staff appeared, but we often had to look for someone. Other diners waited so long that they eventually left, which was a shame given how welcoming the staff were when present.

At night, the rooftop view over the city felt otherworldly, and the setting is one of Jodhpur's best, with the blue city in front and Mehrangarh fort behind. What stayed with me most, though, was how the people there felt like family. Their hospitality was amazing. I'm so glad I happened to be there at the right time to attend an engagement ceremony for one of the Hill View Guest House family members and share such a lovely moment with some genuinely good people.

We'd gladly stay at Hill View Guesthouse again. The beds were fine, there was hot water, and when we asked for towels, they brought them. It sits right below the fort with views over the city, in a great spot in Jodhpur. We also really enjoyed chatting with the lovely family there.
