Hinduja Haveli

The staff service and rooftop view are what make this place feel like the money wasn't completely wasted. The surroundings are very dirty, though, and the hotel's location is its biggest drawback. The standard room was okay, but the deluxe room we took wasn't good. It had no windows, exposed pipes with wires attached to the ceiling lights, and a strange smell coming from the toilet and washbasin drain. The toilet was so cramped that using it was a task.

For sightseeing, Hinduja Haveli is really well placed, with the main tourist attractions nearby. I stayed for two days and booked through Agoda for ₹13,00, including breakfast, which was a good deal. The food was decent, nothing special, but fine. Otherwise things were okay, as long as you pick the right room. The economy room is really only suitable for one person. For a couple it feels too small, since the bed is about 6x3 feet, basically a single. They should also add a cloth hanger in the room, it's a basic thing that would save effort.

It's beside the lake, but hard to find. The rooms are very cramped, there's hardly space to move, and the bed isn't comfortable for a couple. Even with a baby, it doesn't feel sufficient for 2-3 people. Service was very bad, with no cleaning or room service.

I'd give this zero stars if that were an option. They call it a 3 Star Hotel, but it's not a 3 Star Hotel at all, and the owner is misleading people with that label. I tried calling the number on the website every day for a week before arriving, but nobody answered or offered any guidance or help. The road to the hotel is so narrow that you have to hire an auto to get there. I wouldn't suggest it for anyone traveling with family or carrying luggage. I don't recommend staying here. I ended up moving to another hotel, and my driver stayed here because they wouldn't refund my money.
