OYO 15164 Hotel Shree Radhey

The room was compact, but everything was kept neat, the bed was comfortable, and the TV and AC worked properly. The bathroom and cupboard were tidy too. I arrived at 4.00 am after traveling overnight, brought here by an autorickshaw driver, and found it peaceful enough to rest. The receptionist was humble and sincere. I appreciated the hospitality and would stay again on my next visit to Jodhpur. I’d recommend it.

The staff tried to be helpful, and they brought me breakfast early in the morning when I needed it. Still, the problems with the hotel were too many for me to recommend it. I paid Rs.1500/- per night for a Super delux room at Shree Radhe hotel. When I called to book, I asked for a lower price because I’d heard it was cheaper, but was told the rate was high due to the Diwali rush. On arrival I was the only guest, and all the rooms were vacant. The room smelled very foul, and room spray didn’t fix it. They moved me to a smaller room but still charged me for Super delux. The room itself was very plain and didn’t feel pleasant. For comparison, the next day I booked a Super delux room at Jaipur Hotel Metro Inn for the same price, and that felt worth the money in every respect, even though Jaipur is costlier than Jodhpur. Breakfast was included, but the choices were only Poha, Alu paratha, and Bread butter, and none tasted up to the mark. There seemed to be only two or three staff, handling reception, cleaning, cooking, and labor work. There was no pickup or drop service even at this high price, and no intercom in the room. Paying by credit card was another hassle. The receptionist told me to go to the petrol pump opposite the hotel to swipe my card. I asked a staff member to go there and swipe it with my PIN, but he refused and insisted that I go myself. Also, they said TV channels were available on demand. That’s not useful if I have to guess which channel I might want before browsing. I’d look for another hotel at the same price. These are small details, but the owner should take care of them.

The room rate kept changing. On the phone I was quoted Rs 400, but when I arrived at the hotel they said Rs 1200. The online rate was Rs 612, and when I showed them on Goibibo, they said an online booking couldn’t be honored, so the price immediately went up. I tried booking online from my own phone. After I finally saw the room, it wasn’t clean.

We keep choosing this hotel when we visit Jodhpur. It’s close to the travel services and bus stand, and there’s a lift. The rooms are clean and tidy, with AC in every room, and the bathrooms have geysers. The staff are well behaved and proactive, and breakfast is good.
