The location is peaceful despite being right in the heart of the city. Staff were honest and helpful too: I left my headphones behind, and they contacted me when they found them and arranged to get them back to me after I'd left. The food is good and reasonably priced, and the rooms have plenty of space. That said, the price feels high for an old property with so little upkeep. The rooms, especially the bathrooms, are very old, not in good condition, and not cleaned properly. There were lots of cockroaches in the room, and when I asked staff to deal with it around 9 PM, they made excuses and said they'd do it tomorrow. The lift doesn't work. There was nobody around before 8 AM, and I couldn't reach reception even at 7 AM. There's only one accessible plug point in the whole room, which can make charging devices difficult if you have a lot of gadgets or several people sharing.
