Bhramara Orchard Retreat

If you're travelling towards Shimla, this is a lovely place to stop. It's near the town of rodu, in the city of Shimla, and the beauty of the area really won me over. One of the best properties in the isolated region of rue valley or power valley. A visit here is a must.

There are quiet woodland paths to wander, and the changing views make even a morning coffee or a look up at the clear night sky feel like a break from the city's usual noise. The property sits among hills and abundant foliage, with panoramic views of nearby peaks and a calm atmosphere that helps you unwind. The rooms pair modern comforts with an old-world feel. They're thoughtfully decorated and cozy, and the huge windows look out over green forests and the hills. It's a peaceful place to relax after exploring the surroundings.

The apple orchards were a highlight, and there are plenty of little mountain trails to explore on your own. It also feels nicely removed from the usual busy tourist spots. The location is beautiful and close to nature, and the property is well maintained. Parikshit and his dad gave us a warm welcome. The staff were very friendly, the home-cooked food was yummy, and our spacious room had a wonderful mountain view. I'd highly recommend staying here, and I'm looking forward to coming back.

The path up to the Villa was in terrible shape, and there wasn't even room to park. Basic things were missing too, including soap in the bathroom. There was no menu or rate list, so they charged whatever they felt like, at five-star hotel rates. The property itself is good, but the owner's behaviour was very rude. They served us expired tea, coffee and sugar packets. When we complained, the owner said we should be thankful they were serving us at all. That was really rude.
