The property is spacious, peaceful, and surrounded by nature, and the staff were courteous, friendly, and ready to help. We enjoyed the excellent dinner and its good quality and taste. Apart from one part of the stay, everything else was enjoyable. The complimentary breakfast was disappointing. Flies were sitting on the oats porridge, chutney, puri, and idli. We told the staff who were there, but got very little response until we specifically asked for the food containers to be covered. I understand insects can be a challenge during rainy season, but food hygiene and pest control still matter in a hospitality setting. We also found a cockroach inside the room. Better attention to breakfast hygiene would have made the experience excellent.

During the monsoon, the surroundings were lush and green. The resort is a bit away from crowded areas, which makes it a good choice if you want some peaceful time. The staff were very supportive and went out of their way to help. I loved it here and had a great holiday.
The house boat service was good and enjoyable, and I loved the fishing activity. The resort also has a swimming pool and recreational activities. Our Lakeview villa had beautiful backwater views and scenic nature around it. The vintage-style rooms were spacious and well equipped, and the food was very good. Staff were kind and supportive. There were numerous mosquitoes, and our room didn't have hot water. When we asked, they brought us buckets of hot water.
The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Staff members were courteous and professional, and always ready to help, which really made the stay better. Punnamada Backwater resort is beautiful, with lush greenery and serene backwater views that give the place a calm, luxurious feel.
The ₹2000 per person price felt far too high for what was provided. The resort had very few facilities, just one small pool for a property of this size and number of guests. There were no extra entertainment activities either, so there was very little to do. For the price, the amenities, service, and value didn't add up. Lunch was poor and didn't meet what I expected from the local region. I was expecting Karimeen (Pearl Spot fish), but we were served only Kozuva (anchovies/small fish), which was unsatisfactory. The only local dish included with the meal was Ullu Thiyal (a specific type of mixed vegetable curry/dish), and I expected more variety from a resort in the heart of the Alappuzha backwaters. I wouldn't recommend the resort. I request that these issues be investigated and that a partial refund or compensation be considered for the poor experience compared with the high price we paid.
