The owner made us feel at home throughout, always welcoming and ready to help. The homemade meals were fresh, delicious, and clearly prepared with care. The place is budget-friendly and excellent value for the accommodation, food, location, and hospitality. It’s in a peaceful spot away from the town’s bustle, but the city center and everyday essentials are still close enough to reach on foot. The view of Kalimpong was a highlight each morning. We loved our stay and will come back when we return to Kalimpong. Highly recommended for a comfortable, peaceful visit.

It’s about a 10-12 minute uphill walk from the main Kalimpong market. The staff were polite and courteous, and the food was excellent. We found the airy, spacious rooms sophisticated and equipped with modern amenities. Mission valley kalimpong is one of the best properties we’ve stayed at. Can’t wait to return. Highly recommended.

The only real plus for us was that the rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel is in a congested area, far from most city attractions, and although they said parking was available, we were told to leave our car on the roadside. With the crowds, getting in and out was difficult. Mobile service was a problem, and our room had no fan, air conditioning, or even a kettle. We arrived early with the kids after a long journey and asked if they could arrange some food. The staff refused, and the elderly man at reception was especially rude and unhelpful. We tried the restaurant for dinner anyway, but the vegetable and chicken portions were tiny, barely enough for one person. When we asked for more, we were told it wasn’t possible. The bathroom had just one Lifebuoy soap. This was a very disappointing stay and affected our trip. I can’t understand the positive reviews based on our experience. The top-floor front rooms may have a distant mountain view if the weather is good. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Birdsong was all we heard in the quiet surroundings, and the homestay’s tasteful decor gave the place so much charm. The staff were the real standout, making everything easy from check-in to meals and local arrangements. Mission Valley Kalimpong was a peaceful gem. Highly recommended if you want a serene break and warm hospitality.

Mr Yakoub was a wonderful host. He has spent his whole life in Kalimpong and gladly shared what he knows with guests. On his day off, he took me on a five-hour tour around the area. Thanks, Mr Yakoub. I enjoyed meeting your family and staying here. I visited in early February 2026 and stayed on the fourth floor. My balcony had lovely views of Kalimpong. The place was clean and well maintained, and breakfast was excellent. It’s a short walk downhill to the town center, so the walk back is uphill.
