Hotel Kalpa Retreat

The staff were kind and always ready to help, and the chef kept bringing out hot, delicious food. We stayed on 03/10 and 04/10, and really enjoyed it. There was a good choice of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes at breakfast and dinner. Our room was spacious and looked out over the Kinnaur mountain. They also have car parking.

Amarjeet Ji made us feel so welcome in the cold mountains. Hotel Kalpa Retreat felt like home, with peaceful rooms and amazing food. We’re grateful for that warmth in the calm surroundings of Kalpa.

Leaving after three days was emotional. Even though we spent Diwali away from home, the welcome from the chef, staff and manager made the place feel like home. They were so welcoming, and the service was extraordinary. We were often given extras at no charge, like chapati, apples, apple juice and sweets. Our room was beautiful, with a valley view, wooden walls and an electric bed heater. It stayed warm even when the temperature dropped below 2 degrees. There’s parking, and the hotel sits right beside the road with a breathtaking view. Kalpa is magical, and Hotel Kalpa Retreat made our stay even more so. We’ll go back soon.

The food was a highlight, with a buffet at both breakfast and dinner and plenty of choices for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. They also have games like table tennis and jenga in the waiting area. I stayed for two days during my trip to Spiti Valley and had the best experience of the trip. The host was very friendly, and the rooms were clean and warm, with electric blankets, a geyser and water available 24/7. I’d recommend it to everyone.
