The food was a real highlight, especially the dal bati churma, and the staff were so welcoming. We found the stay comfortable and budget-friendly. The jeep safari and camel rides were a fun way to get that desert feel, too. I’d definitely recommend it for a relaxed but exciting visit to Jaisalmer.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed the food. The rooms had enough furnishings, too. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend the place to newlyweds.

Watching the Thar Desert sunrise and sunset from here was breathtaking. Staying in a desert camp felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and the resort included the stay, meals, and entertainment. We had an amazing time at Royal Empire Resort in Jaisalmer and would come back.

We paid nearly Rs 13,000 a night for four people, but the room was poorly maintained, the bathroom was unhygienic, and there was no heating unless we paid extra for a heater. The buffet plates weren’t properly washed, and the food was very poor. The evening show was repetitive and lacked the Rajasthani cultural quality we were hoping for. Getting to Sam Dunes meant buying a Jeep Safari. Without it, the camp wouldn’t arrange a free drop, so we ended up paying extra for a safari we hadn’t wanted. The dunes themselves felt overpriced, with bad, expensive food and tourist traps everywhere. I’d thought this would be a memorable family visit, but it was a disappointment. My advice is to avoid staying here. You could book Marriot for the same cost and enjoy the facilities.

For a tent stay, you could visit this place, though it’s well inside from the main road. There are plenty of roadside options, and their Thar ride costs a lot. Try Thar point on the main road instead, it’s much cheaper.
